MISSION STATEMENT
Maritime Threat Resolution Ltd. (MTR) ensures end-to-end protection for single vessels or
limited vessel convoys.

SERVICE OPTIONS

YEMEN WATERS ONLY
Through its strategic partnership, MTR has a licence to conduct armed maritime security operations within Yemeni waters. For transits requiring the use of an escort vessel, MTR can utilise the services of the Yemen Coast Guard (YCG) or Yemen Navy.  An armed team can be embarked to a client vessel, or if necessary, a YCG/Navy patrol vessel can be employed to provide maximum protection for the duration of the transit through Yemeni waters.

OUTSIDE YEMEN WATERS
MTR has agreements in place with agencies in various countries around the GoA and Indian Ocean, allowing it to provide embarkation/disembarkation of security teams and associated firearms.
MTR can provide various maritime security options according to a client's requirements, ranging from armed security teams deployed on a clients vessel, to armed escort vessels.
Piracy has escalated in the GoA and Indian Ocean, with history demonstrating an increase in frequency, numbers of pirates and skiffs employed during each attack, aswell as regular use of lethal force.  As such in accordance with its duty of care to its consultants, MTR will not deploy unarmed security teams without satisfying itself that the clients vessel has sufficient capability and self-protection ('ship hardening') in place.
MTR has negotiated significant discounts on 'wet' charter rates with owners of escort vessels, aswell as cost-effective weapon deployment and security teams, and as such
it is able to keep costs down, passing these on to its clients.
All firearms employed by MTR have been legally procured, and carry full regulatory documentation including appropriate export licences and EUCs.

DETERRENCE
An escort vessel in close proximity to the client vessel has a deterrent effect towards potential pirate teams (no single ships that have been escorted by a security vessel, have suffered from attempted or actual hijack).

INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE TO SHIPPING COMPANIES
MTR sees itself as merely one element in the bid to ensure safety of vessels and their crews in pirate infested waters. It is therefore in our interest to ensure ship owners and captains have good information.  The following link will show the last week's Piracy incidents - Piracy Update. And a useful timeline giving a clear historical picture of the GoA piracy problem - Piracy Timeline.

SAFETY OF LIFE AT SEA
MTR will make all efforts to avoid endangering the lives of its clients, its own personnel, and any other crews, but reserves the legal right to use lethal force under strict rules of engagement, to protect its own and other crews, within it's immediate sphere of activity.
